Yellow COFIO is remember in the Welsh language & yellow nods to the thousands of female munition workers who suffered to produce shells & bombs for the war effort.  13,000, mostly female, ‘Munitionettes’ were employed 1939 -1945 outside Wrexham to this end.  Many of our yellow poppies were donated by handcrafters from the Wrexham area, through @Woody’sLodge projects in memory of these outstanding people.
