8. Llandudno Poppy Project Cascade

I’m Irene Banister, and I had the privilege of contributing to the “Hope, Remembrance, Respect” project at Gwrych Castle, Abergele in 2021. Building on that success, I teamed up with 34 dedicated Llandudno Poppy Crafters to create this stunning Cascade for Remembrance Day in November 2022.

The piece displayed here at Hope House Children’s Hospice is the larger of the two segments crafted for the project. It contains over 3,000 handcrafted poppies, and I feel deeply honoured to showcase this beautiful creation in commemoration of those who have sacrificed so much.
